Why can’t I order directly from your products page?

We build every table from scratch. That process begins when you reach out to us and we begin the question and answer back-and-forth to design a table that you will love. This may take a few days to hammer out all the details, but we feel it’s the best way to go to ensure that your table is built the way you want it.

How does shipping and delivery work?

If you are close to us (we’re in the greater DC area), we will deliver the table directly to you. If you are farther away, we will crate the table in a sturdy, strong box, and have it shipped to you. You will need to open the box and take your table inside.

How do I begin the process of ordering a table?

Fill out the contact form with as much detail as you can. If it’s a table we already have listed, let us know the model name, the type of wood you want it built with, and dimensions (length and width and height). Also include the city you’re in and we’ll get back and ask any questions we need to get it built!

How do I pay for my table?

After we design your table and you agree to have it built, a nonrefundable deposit of 50% of the total price is due before work begins. The balance is due before delivery/shipping occurs.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We are happy to accept PayPal and Venmo electronically, or a paper check/money order can be mailed to us. If a check or money order is used, up to ten business days may need to pass before the funds clear and we can begin work.

We’ve agreed on a design, what next?

We’ll write up a proposal that will include details such as the type of lumber to be used, stain color (if used) and the type of finish that will be applied. It will include payment expectations and methods for payment. It will include details on delivery or shipping and the estimated timeline for completion. Once you sign it and make the deposit, we will begin building!

What should I expect once we start talking about a table?

We’ll ask lots of questions to make sure we know what you want. If it’s a table that isn’t on our site, we’ll take your ideas (or an image you’ve sent us) and sketch up a model for you to approve or to make changes to. This might take a couple of emails; it might take a few weeks, but we’ll come to an agreement on what the table should like like.

How long does it take to build a table?

This can vary greatly, but generally, if we aren’t already swamped with orders, between 5-10 weeks for a build. We have full time jobs and kids with lots of extra curricular activities, so we cannot always meet a deadline perfectly, but we will do our best and keep you updated on progress.
